The first edition of the “Gambero Rosso Top Italian Wines Roadshow” will be held in 11 cities in the world, starting in Stockholm and Zurich (November 5 and 7) it continues in London and Copenhagen (January 21 and 23), Amsterdam and Bruxelles (February 11 and 12), Los Angeles and San Diego (March 6 and 7), Berlin and Dusseldorf (April 14 and 16) to close in Moscow in the middle of October 2008.
The mission of the initiative is to make the press, the trade and the wine collectors aware of the great quality achieved by Italian wines in the past decade.
The 49 participating companies will be involved in various activities throughout the day. The event will start with an open tasting, but in the morning and in the early afternoon 2 seminars will be held, where 25 wines will be presented from 25 different producers in each seminar. They will be tutored by Gambero Rosso experts: the magazine wine editor in chief Daniele Cernilli (Decanter Magazine in 2006 and 2007 put him among the 50 most influential people in the wine industry worldwide) or his associate, the magazine wine editor Marco Sabellico with a top local wine writer who could intervene during the length of the seminar.
The tasting will be open to the public by invitation only after 4pm in every city. As far as the seminars are concerned, seating is limited to 30 guests and a very selected number of tickets will be made available to the general public, upon request.
